PTC now offers CADTRAIN\'s COAch(TM) as part of growing Web-based training curriculum

NEEDHAM, Mass., June 18 /S Newswire/ -- PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the Product Development Company(TM), today announced the availability of enhanced Web-based Pro/ENGINEER training, including Computer Based Training (CBT) courses designed by CADTRAIN, a leading supplier of e-learning products worldwide. Pro/ENGINEER is PTC\'s market leading mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD) software and is used by more than 30,000 customers around the world to design and manufacture innovative products. PTC\'s training program continues to grow with a wide range of Web-based training courses.

All PTC training courses utilize the PTC Precision Learning methodology -- a cycle of \""Learn-Assess-Improve\"" that delivers measurable results. PTC is transitioning all of its classroom training programs to Precision Learning environments that include one workstation per student and short evaluations with Pro/FICIENCY(TM) software to determine whether or not information is being communicated effectively and students are truly learning. To supplement PTC\'s training offerings, PTC will resell CADTRAIN\'s COAch product on a standalone basis. COAch is a supplemental curriculum of CBT courses designed to improve skill comprehension and retention. Additionally, upon its integration, portions of COAch will be embedded within PTC\'s Pro/FICIENCY Evaluator Web-based package.

\""Through an aggressive development schedule, PTC intends to deliver twelve full Web-based courses by the end of this year,\"" said Arthur Bie, vice president, PTC Global Services. \""Meanwhile, adding COAch to our PTC Precision Learning methodology significantly increases the ability for customers to apply skills improvement at their convenience. Together, these developments underscore PTC\'s commitment to providing ample quality skills enhancement opportunities for its customer base.

\""We are pleased to be an integral part of PTC\'s enhanced training initiatives,\"" says Dennis Stajic, President of CADTRAIN. \""As a part of the PTC Precision Learning methodology, COAch can and should be used by every Pro/ENGINEER user to improve their skills. The addition of COAch based e- learning to PTC\'s program will allow PTC to quickly increase the number of Precision Learning solutions offered to customers.\""
